WWtA::The Story Thus Far

August 31, 2001
[Sunday]
  • The players undergo the pack presentation and union ritual at the camp
  • The are debriefed and told to see James Alma in the south of Seattle
  • A HUMV is requisitioned from the camp car pool and they drive to Seattle
  • Since the south side is known to be dangerous, the pack opts to take a bus from a parking garage
  • After a small 'exact change' tussle, the pack boards the bus when Maritza notices someone apparently 'sleeping' near the rear door exit. She investigates and finds that it is a dead man that no one seems to be giving a second thought to.
  • The pack arrives on the south side and are met by 'lookouts' and are escorted to James Alma
  • James Alma makes his plea to the pack for help.
    • A development company named Luger (Loo jer) Corp. is showing interest in buying some abandonded warehouses in the area that the Bone Gnawers have recently constructed a caern in.
    • James says that what he knows is that a fellow named Joe Burns is heading the project at Luger Corp.
    • When asked if they've made enemies recently, James says he doesn't think so.
    • When asked 'who owns the warehouses currently', he replies that his pack does because they take care of THIS area, no matter what papers may say.
    • James tells the pack that the purchase is supposed to go through on the 15th of the month and that he doesn't have the resources to investigate into this although he'll provide what help he can.
  • Caprice makes a quick call to Luger Corp and finds that their stated business interests (in general) are in rental properties. Condos. Apartments and some business offices.
  • After a quick trip to the caern, the pack decides to take up an offering on a meal and a place to stay. They spend the night eating food from trashcans and sleeping in a basement that opens up to the sewer system. [GMs note: YUM!]
Sep 1, 2001
[Monday]
  • The pack wakes up feeling "refreshed" and decides to take the bus back to their car. Forgetting the problems of the previous day, the pack forgets to get change. After some more 'exact change' difficulty, the pack gets on the bus heading north.
  • The bus is the same one from yesterday, but with a different driver. Noticing that the dead man is still on the bus, Maritza attempts to bring it to the attention of the driver, who doesn't seem to comprehend what Maritza is getting at.
  • After the pack gets to their vehicle, they decide to get bus passes, thereby avoiding any 'exact change' problems in the future.
  • Then it is on to a sleazy motel that rents by the hour, so that everyone can have a 15 minute shower in a tiny bathroom.
  • The library turned out to be a veritable gold-mine of information.
    • Joe Burns joined Luger Corp on August 3rd.
    • Luger Corp put out a small press release indicating their delight at getting him to join their ranks.
    • Joe Burns has already made a name for himself in local circles. He's a self-made millionaire that made the bulk of his money in real-estate. He gives money to charity and the arts.
    • Pictures of Joe Burns at various functions are readily available.
    • Luger Corp appears to be exactly what the pack has already found out. A respectable company that deals in real estate. There is no mention of protests or any problems concerning Luger Corp.
  • Given this information the pack decides that checking out the Luger Corp offices might be a good thing. So it's to the business district.
  • It's pretty early in the day, so the pack parks a few blocks away and settles in to an outdoor cafe across the street from Luger Corp.
  • The notice that the parking lot next to the office building has named spots, and sure enough, Joe Burns has a car there, so the pack gets the make and model and tag number. [A 2000 Lexus with Washington tag "MAJ 675"]
  • Caprice went next door to the cyber cafe and hacked into DMV and got Joe Burn's home address and phone number. [Along with other license info.]
  • Shortly after Caprice returned to the cafe table, Maritza (of the one eye) and Vali notice a couple across the street. There were two tourists across the street taking pictures of one another. But one had a zoom camera.
  • The pack decides maybe they should leave now, but then Quelatikan and Caprice notice two tourists on the same side of the street that were taking pictures of the pack.
  • In an attempt to ditch the tourists, the pack turned into a blind alley and then later a book store. When it appeared that the tourists weren't going away, the pack decided to split up.
  • Quelatikan and Vali left Maritza and Caprice in the bookstore. They headed down the street away from the man and woman tourists (the ones on the same side of the street). Then they noticed that the two accross the street were parallel with them. Vali and Quel ran. They decided that they could loose the tourists by running around the block.
  • While Vali and Quel were out for a jog, Maritza and Caprice decide to leave the bookstore and start heading for the car (with tourists in tow).
  • With Quel and Vali at the corner, Caprice and Maritza passed by and told them to follow the tourists.
  • Once the tourists reached the corner, the not-so-hidden Quel and Vali gave them a start. Then Vali decides that a verbal confrontation is in order. The tourists deny taking pictures of the pack and continue following Maritza and Caprice.
  • Quel and Vali follow in behind the tourists which now seem a bit nervous and jumpy. The woman reaches for her cell phone and makes a call.
  • Vali overhears the woman and a remote voice as they plan a possible ambush. The tourists turn into an alley and Vali and Quel go in after them.
  • Vali changes into glabro form and a knife is thrown at him. He rushes in to find some werewolves. Vali jumps back and the werewolves go further into the alley.
  • Vali and Quel rush in and attack the poor innocent tourists at this point. They murder the woman and knock the man unconscience. [GMs poetic license]
  • Quel and Vali are hurt badly and Maritza and Caprice show up at the alley, but by now, there are many people around the alley way. A private security officer approaches the seen. Maritza leaves and Caprice runs off to get the vehicle. Vali attacks the innocent just-doing-his-job security officer and pins him. At this point, the male tourist gets up and runs off down the alleyway. Quel gives chase but the male slips through a trap door in the wall.
  • The security officer, having called Animal Control and an ambulence runs for his life. Quel notices a smaller trap door near the entrance to the alley and suspects that it was used to ditch the items that the tourists had.
  • With Caprice circling the block, Maritza, Vali and Quel climb up onto the roof and out of the way.
  • Animal control shows up and start to "clean up the mess".
  • After a small while, the dust settles, the crowd clears and the pack is re-united. A check of the trap doors reveals that the one at the end of the alley is VERY STRONG and the one at the beginning of the alley has a tube that deposits things on a blanket near the sewer under the street. The pack retrieves the blanket.
  • The pack decides that they need to ask James Alma some more questions, so it's back to the south side of Seattle.
  • The pack tells James that they were attacked by Black Spiral Dancers and ask for maps of the sewers. James says that he isn't familiar with that area of town and recommends that they call April Hardcastle of the Glasswalkers.
  • Suspecting a possible double cross, they ask James if any of his pack are missing. James assures them that he knows that they are all present because they took roll call at the end of July.
  • April says that she will have the maps by Tuesday morning when she'll send an associate to meet them for breakfast.
  • The pack sleeps in the caern to aid in the healing of Vali and Quelatikan who were quite injured in the early tussle with some tourists.

Sep 2, 2001
[Tuesday]
  • The pack wakes up in the caern and decides to get an EARLY start to the day.
  • Feeling much better, Vali decides to go sniffing around the caern and streets near James.
  • Quelatikan decides that a small jaunt into the Umbra might reveal something and has a talk with some of the spirits there. They reveal to him that there was a moot sometime a little over a month ago that they enjoyed. They also very much like the caern and feel well cared for.
  • The pack then heads to meet their contact from April.
  • Charles Durning meets up with the pack and has some things to tell them.
    • Charles gives the pack the sewer maps they asked for.
    • Charles identifies himself as a worker at the water ways company.
    • When asked about Luger Corporation, Charles says that the water ways company recently got some office space from them at their downtown building. He further says that they ran a standard check on the company in the middle of July and to the best of the Glasswalker's knowledge, Luger Corp is on the up-and-up.
    • The pack tells them that they were attacked by Black Spiral near that area and Charles tells them that he had heard about their tussle (not in so many words) on local tv and radio. He seems overjoyed to be meeting some of the pack to take on the Black Spirals.
    • Charles gives the pack a cell phone which he tells them can call the "5 digit numbers" in the Seattle area.

  • The pack decides that the first place to investigate will be the sewer system near the alley.
  • But before hitting the alley they opt to get some equipment. They head into a store that sells security supplies. They purchase walkie-talkies and a microphone. The attendant behind the counter didn't appear overly eager for their business.
    • Quel spends some time memorizing the map and they locate a sewer entrance some blocks away and after buying some flashlights because the seweres were DARK, they entered and started heading towards the alley.
    • When they reach the sewers under the alley they find an 'alcove' busted out of the side of the sewer below the pipe in the alley. They can hear some voices and some crates being moved around in the alley.
    • Vali heads down the sewer towards the end of the alley and finds a small squarish tunnel built out of brick leading off towards where the 'exit' was in the alley. Getting on all fours Vali and the rest of the pack go single file down the tunnel.
    • Vali hits the end of the tunnel and it goes up towards the suface but is covered and there is a large metal door on a hinge blocking the exit.
    • At this point, the pack decides to head up to the surface to investigate who is currently in the Alley.
      • Quel and Maritza leave Vali and Caprice in the sewer and make their way towards the entrance they had used splitting the party up again. (YAY!)
      • The get out of the sewer and start off down the street towards the alley. With gunk from their knees down and walk talkies and basically smelling like a sewer they quickly get the attention of passers-by and security people alike. Undaunted they continue down the streets toward the alley.
      • About a block away from the alley the spot two people (a black man and a white man) that are standing and talking right near the alley entrance. The two people stop talking and start to look around quizzically and then lock eyes on Quel and Maritza.
      • The two men run. Maritza and Quel give chase. About 2 blocks away the two men turn into a bank.
      • Maritza, turns down an alley just before the bank and Quel follows. Along with two security guards that have their hands on their guns. Guns are off saftey and the strap holding the gun in place is undone. They have walkie-talkies in their off-hands.
      • Meanwhile Vali and Caprice decide to try and find their way to the entrance that they took, and start meandering down the sewers in an effort to find it.
      • The security guards start to question the 'suspicious' looking Maritza and Quel. Maritza says that they were chasing two men that went into the bank. The security guards said that they'd get the men if Maritza or Quel would be willing to file charges. Martiza said that she didn't believe them. After a bit of banter back and forth, the situation was some-what diffused and the security guards were convinced that, while very odd looking, Maritza and Quel were probably not a real threat (stupid security guards) and so they let them go.
      • Quel and Maritza walk by the bank to see what happened to the two men and see them spread eagled up against a wall getting patted down by bank security.
      • After failing to find the entrance Vali and Caprice find their way back to the alcove under the Alley.
      • Maritza and Quel head back to the sewer entrance and meet up with Vali and Caprice again.
    • Once they are all together, they decide to collapse the built tunnel that was used for the BSD to escape them earlier.
    • They leave the sewer and decide that they need to clean themselves up.
  • They find a 'motel 6' equiv and rent a room out. Take showers which are desperately needed and grab something to eat.
  • Next the decide to call April Hardcastle up and see if she can arrange for a phone tap on Joe Burns' residence.
    • John Locke answers the phone and says that April is not currently available.
    • After explaining that they need some telephone expertise, John Locke recommends David Ahburn and says that he can have David Ahburn call them shortly.
    • After a brief wait, the phone rings and David Ahburn talks with Caprice. He explains that a wire-tap isn't possible. But that getting phone records of calls into the residence is possible.
    • Caprice and David Ahburn arrange to meet at IHOP at 10pm and he'll bring a print-out of the records.
  • Having some time before the meeting, the pack checks on the alley surface and find that it has been cleaned up. That the trap door drop off to the alcove in the sewer is well hidden and functional again.
  • Maritza and Quel are dropped off near Joe Burns' residence to case the place. They have with them a parabolic microphone.
  • Caprice and Vali go to the IHOP.
  • Maritza and Quel sneak down the dark suburban streets and jump up and onto the stone wall of the Burns estate.
  • The first thing they notice is that there are camers in the trees on the other side of the wall, but they don't appear to be functioning.
  • The jump down and sneak towards the edge of the light eminating from the house and start using the parabolic microphone to see what they can find out about this residence.
  • Maritza mans the microphone and Quel puts in the ear piece. The scan the 2 floors and hear nothing.
  • On the first floor (which has more lit rooms) they hear someone playing violin. And they hear a tea-kettle. They can hear someone (presumably Joe Burns) stop playing the violin and get some tea and settle into a chair to listen to some classical music.
  • After going around the house and listening they realize that the house is VERY quiet. For a 3 story mansion it appears too quiet. There are no other sounds in the house. In the front of the house is Joe's car and no other vehicle.
  • Meanwhile, Caprice and Vali meet up with David Ahburn and get a copy of the records. After a very brief meeting, they opt to leave the IHOP and head back to get Maritza and Quel.
  • The party meets up again and an exchange of information takes place.
  • The phone records reveal that in early July, between 50 and 100 calls per day take place and then suddenly that number goes to about a dozen one day and 2 or 3 each day after that. The only calls being made lately are to Luger Corp.
  • Deciding to not wait, the pack decides that they need to pay a visit to Joe Burns tonight:
    • The pack steals a car a few blocks away from the motel they are in and drive to within about 5 blocks of the Burns' estate. They sneak down the streets and jump the wall. The cameras STILL appear in-active.
    • After jumping the wall and verifying that the camers still seem to be non-functional they drop in.
    • They notice some dog paw prints in the ground that don't seem to be very recent.
    • The approach the house and Caprice climbs up to a balcony and opens a window. The pack enters the house.
    • They can hear snoring and smell something strange. They decide to wait on the snoring and investigate the smell.
    • Down the stairs they end up in a servant's room that looks like a slaughter house. Blood and guts are everywhere. About 4 bodies ripped to shreds.
    • They keep investigating and they find the remains of two dogs. All the bodies were locked away in rooms.
    • Doing a quick survey of the downstairs area, they pack heads up. They find Joe Burns passed out on his bed, face down, fully clothed, holding onto a photograph. He smells of alcohol.
    • Vali and Maritza take Joe and dump him into a large bathtub with water to interrogate him.
    • Quel and Caprice examine the picture and the room. The picture is of a young girl, about 8 years of age. There are two other pictures of the girl in the room. Quel investigates the rest of the house but there are no other pictures of this girl around.
    • Vali and Maritza successfully awaken Joe Burns and after some not-so-veiled threats from Vali, Joe reluctantly tells his story.
      • Joe says he isn't supposed to talk to anyone.
      • In July some strange looking people broke into his house and threatened him. They told him that if he didn't do what they said, that they'd hurt him.
      • Joe told them "no" and then says he passed out. The following morning he found all his live in help dead.
      • He was then given a note telling him to buy the warehouse property and at that point he joined Luger Corp to facilitate this.
      • Quel at this point, having entered the bathroom, asks about the girl in the picture.
      • Joe says it is his daughter. That the mother was killed and she has been taken.
      • The pack tries to convince Joe that they can fix his 'problem'. Joe doesn't seem overly-convinced and stresses that he only cares about Natalie's saftey.
      • Joe says that the only information he has is a phone number he got off of caller-id when he talked to Natalie.
    • The pack leaves Burns' estate and returns the vehicle to where they found it and rest for the night.
Sep 3, 2001
[Wednesday]
  • The pack does a reverse number lookup on the phone number that Joe gave them and gets an address to a poor area of town and they head that way.
    • Once they drive into the neighborhood, they identify the building and start using the microphone. Having access to only two of the apartments on the 2nd floor (and knowing that the address was a 2nd floor address) they can hear a woman yelling at a crying child in one. And the sound of wood sliding on floor and someone saying "Quit moving".
    • Quel believes that the 2nd apartment is the one they are looking for and says so.
    • The pack decides to enter the building. When they get out of their car, two people sitting on the stoop in front of the building pull out a sheet of paper and looking at it and then to the pack they start running up the steps and press the buzzer.
    • The pack chases them up the steps and tosses the two over and down the steps while Caprice "picks" open the door lock. Everyone rushes into the building and up the stairs.
    • The pack is on the 2nd floor and they bust the door of the apartment in.
    • A man holding a gun to a young girl who is tied to the chair says that he'll kill the girl if anyone moves. Maritza rushes in and attacks the man.
    • At this point, Quel runs out of the building and around the side to the fire escape.
    • Vali, Maritza and Caprice attack the two in the room. Martiza and Vali change to Crinos form as does the man that was holding a gun to Natalie (who now appears to be catatonic).
    • Between the werewolves slashing and Caprice shooting they kill the garou and severly injure the woman that had a gun.
    • Meanwhile, Quel is giving chase on the fire-escape of another man who is now running up.
    • Vali and Maritza dive through the window onto the fire-escape and climb the outside of it and punch the man running away.
    • When it was all said and done, they had 2 unconscience humans and Natalie in their car and heading for a pay phone to call Joe Burns.
  • When Natalie seems a bit calmer they tell her that they are taking her to her father. Natalie says that her father is dead and that she wants to be with her mother.
  • Joe is very anxious to have them all meet again and says that he's leaving for his house NOW. After hearing what Natalie has said about her father, Joe says that he is the father, but that Natalie does not know it. He says that Natalie thinks that she is a 'friend' of her mother's.
  • The pack drives to his house and when he buzzes the large gates open so that the pack can drive in another car screaches around a corner and tries to ram them from behind.
  • Caprice jams the gas on the car and manages to avoid getting hit.
  • Maritza starts shooting, Caprice backs up to the house door. Vali changes form and runs at the car and Quel grabs Natalie and heads off to the door.
  • Quel and Caprice manage to get Natalie inside and pick up Joe (who passed out as soon as he opened the door and saw the raging werewolves outside.
  • The two occupants of the car change forms. Between Vali's claws and talons and Maritza's BFG the assailants drop.
  • Vali does a quick search of the car and manages to find the steering wheel.
  • The pack enters the house.
    • Joe wakes up. Natalie comes to, sees Joe and hugs him calling him "Uncle Joe". Natalie does not appear to recognize the house.
    • Joe seems over-joyed. He promises to take care of the warehouse contract promptly.
    • He gives the pack a key to the house and the passcode to the front gate.
    • In turn the pack promises to take care of the "problem downstairs".
    • Joe and Natalie leave and the pack commences to clean up the corpses.
  • The man from the fire-escape awakens and the pack goes to interrogate him. He is very un-cooperative and Vali breaks two of his fingers (in a good alignment kind of way).
  • The man still won't talk and upon Quel's request they rip his shirt off and there is a large tattoo across his chest. The pack has a good indication that this is a ritual mark of the Black Spiral Dancers that might make it very difficult for this person to talk.
  • The pack finishes with the man and calls James.
  • James is very happy to hear good news from them. James tells the pack that they can take the two prisoners to a holding place that they have.
  • The pack takes the two people to the holding cells and disposes of the bodies they have collected from the house.
  • The pack decides that they need to rest up and they spend the night in the Caern getting healed.
Sep 4, 2001
[Thursday]
  • The pack wakes up and heads down to talk to James.
  • James greets the pack very warmly.
  • The pack indicates that they believe that Caern should be in good hands now. But they suggest that James provide a method of handling the title.
  • James says he doesn't have the resources to handle a title to property.
  • James also says that he's expecting to get a phone call regarding the property to verify that the contract is indeed null.
  • The pack says that Black Spiral Dancers were involved. James promises to be vigilant.
  • When asked if the entire pack of BSD were taken care of, Quel (through Vali) says that it hasn't. However, given the number of dead BSD they feel that the BSD pack's resources are probably greatly hindered.
  • The pack says their goodbyes and heads to Joe's place once again.
  • Calling Joe from his house, the pack says that the 'situation' in the down stairs bedroom has been taken care of.
  • Joe is extremely grateful for all their help. He tells them that he and Natalie are going away for a while.
  • Joe also says that they shouldn't call him on this line anymore but if they really need him, that he can be reached at a number that they can find in a drawer in the kitchen. He adds that anything they hear regarding him should be "taken with a grain of salt".
  • The pack gets the number from the drawer and heads back to camp.

Nov 4, 2001
[Monday]
  • The pack is gathered together early in the morning to talk to Tricia and Dennis.
  • Dennis informs the pack that he wants them to investigate the death of a kinfolk that has been out of circulation for a number of years.
  • The pack has the following information to work with:
    • The name of the kinfolk is Pierre Gustof
    • He worked at the zoo in Vancover Canada
    • He was the kinfolk of some Black Furies that are no longer alive
    • No one has heard from him in about 3 or 4 years.
  • Tricia strongly encourages the pack to be back for the moot next monday.
  • The pack decides to drive straight off for the Zoo to investigate.
  • When the pack buys their tickets from the cashier, they hear a faint click. (?)
  • The pack enters the zoo and starts to ask questions about Pierre. The employees that they talk to seem to genuinely miss Pierre and describe him as an excellent animal handler who worked in the 'Timberland' section of the zoo.
  • Caprice plays the part of the niece asking questions about her 'Uncle' Pierre.
  • Caprice and Maritza head off towards the Administration buiding while Quel and Vali investigate the 'Timberland' section making a note of where cameras are located.
  • The pack notes that the animals in the zoo are very lethargic.
  • On the way to the Administration buiding Caprice and Maritza notice some odd behaviour from one of the bears.
  • While most of the bears, like the rest of the animals, are very lethergic, one seems particularly aware. When a zoo employee is asked about the bear, the employee chalks it up to the bear being an adolescent.
  • Walking near the bird sanctuary, Martiza and Caprice send the birds into a complete tizy.
  • Approaching the administration building, they notice three strangers walking away from the direction of the Admin building. They are all wearing dark suits and sunglasses. Caprice and Martiza decide to follow them.
  • As they follow the trio of strangers (2 men and a woman), the suddenly lose sight of them as they enter the cafeteria and go behind a pillar. They decide to scout out the cafeteria for them further but do not see the strangers again. They suspect that there was a secret passage in or near the pillar.
  • Quel and Vali locate the wolf and coyote exhibits and they find a trailer that they believe to be Pierre's.
  • After scouting around they wind back to the cafeteria to meet up with Martiza and Caprice.
  • Once the pack is re-united they decide to check the area where the strangers 'vanished'. They do not find anything out of the ordinary.
  • At this point, Maritza and Caprice head to the Admin building. Caprice still playing the part of the niece.
  • Once they talk to the administrative assistant, they meet with the V.P. of operations.
    • He re-iterates what a great guy Pierre was and that everyone liked him.
    • He says that the zoo picked up the tab for the cremation and funeral services.
    • He mentions that Pierre was found stabbed to death.
    • They give the pack Pierre's listed home address.
    • He doesn't know of any leads as of yet and mentions that the 'authorities' were recently in asking more questions. However, when he starts to mention them he and his assistant have difficulty remembering which department the 'agents' were in, or how many there were.
    • He then brings out Pierre's box of belongings which he allows Caprice to take with her.
  • After bringing the box of stuff back to the group, they notice a few papers, some nice work gloves and a whistle with mystical symbols etched on it, which Quel pockets.
  • Upon leaving the zoo, the pack is briefly stopped by some security guards but are allowed to pass after some communication security receives.
  • The pack drives to the apartment building in Vancover. [The afternoon]
  • After talking to the super-intendent (Charles Deveroix) they are allowed in the building and taken to Pierre's apt.
  • The apt seems very sparce.
  • The pack notices that there is a rock and a piece of wood on 'display' in the apartment. (On a small table).
  • Quel shifts into the Umbra to take a look. The rock and wood seem a "little bright" but otherwise appear normal. Quel realizes that her presense has been noted by some Umbra denizens.
  • Quel quickly shifts back to the mundane and Vali pockets the stone and rock.
  • Further searching in the apartment and Quel discovers a panel in the closet ceiling. With help from Vali they open it and extract a large black case.
  • Upon opening the case, the pack sees an ornate sword. The engravings are ancient, and Maritza recognizes an archaic symbol of the Black Furies on it.
  • The pack packs up the sword and decides that since it is getting dark, it's a good time to head back to the zoo.
  • The pack drives off-road some ways 'behind' the zoo and enters the Umbra. [Nightfall]
  • The entire pack moves toward the zoo and Vali says that he'll shift and scout and let them know when it's safe to shift also.
  • Vali shifts from the Umbra into the wolf pen and has a quick conversation with the wolves there.
  • Meanwhile, the remainder of the pack in the Umbra feels that they have been noticed and that some creates of the Umbra are preparing an attack.
  • The pack decides that they cannot wait on Vali to give them the go ahead any longer and they start to shift. First Caprice and then Maritza, who gets stuck, go through. Quel gets stuck after helping Maritza through. Maritza shifts to Crinos in preperation to go back into the Umbra, but Quel escapes just in time.
  • Between the pack doing the quick shift and Vali trying to go back to the Umbra, some of the zoo security takes notice.
  • As security approaches, Quel shifts to crinos and allows the delirium to take affect. The guards go 'gaa gaa' and the pack moves on.
  • The pack decides to split up. Vali heads to the wolf den and Maritza stands guard as Quel and Caprice enter Pierre's old trailer.
  • Once inside Caprice find some papers underneath the filing cabinet which she and Quel retrieve.
  • Vali, starts talking to the wolves about freedom. Vali, intent on freeing the wolves, quizzes them to see how prepared they are. As it turns out, they are horribly un-prepared for life outside of the zoo environment.
  • Vali and Quel discuss the future of the wolves.
  • The Zoo animals had been making a tremendous racket once the pack arrived and the pack is forced to avoid the animal handlers.
  • The pack notices, in particular, a loud animal cry of anguish coming from the area of the bear pit and choose to investigate.
  • As the pack winds their way through the zoo towards the bear pit, the notice some movement out of the corner of their peripheral vision.
  • The intruders, sneaking around the west wall, start running north and the pack gives chase.
  • A sudden fog surrounds the intruders impairing everyone's vision.
  • Quel pauses for a brief moment and a cold wind blows in disappating the fog and the chase continues.
  • At this point, the pack sees three intruders. Two of the intruders cast spells and combat ensues.
  • The entire pack gets caught up in the melee with the mages. (Which was bad news for the mages)
  • In the battle with the mages, Caprice hears a car engine but doesn't immediately see a vehicle. She spots a van that has been cloaked by magic and talks to the machine spirits to lock up the breaks.
  • Quel and Maritza subdue two of the mages and Vali goes for a forth mage that using some magic to hold up a 'bend' in the fence.
  • After locking up the breaks, Caprice rips the driver's side door off and the driver blasts her with a cone of frost knocking her out. The mage starts to glow like nuclean winter as Maritza goes into a RAGE.
  • Vali attacks and knocks out the driver, but in her rage Maritza decapitates the poor sod.
  • The pack examines the inside of the van and some of the fallen mages:
    • Quel notices that the mages are wearing amulets and takes two of them.
    • The amulets show one ancient symbol surrounded by five other symbols.
    • The back of the van has chains made out of some metal and the same symbol pattern drawn on the floorboards in the back.
    • There also appears to be some type of metal muzzle.
    • The mages have strange tattoos on them. (Maybe not so strange for mage types?)
  • The pack becomes aware that in all the noise and confusion that the zoo employees are heading in their direction to investigate.
  • Quel takes up two of the dead mages and heads towards the wolf den.
  • Maritza and Vali tend to Caprice.
  • Maritza heads back in to retrieve Caprice's backpack, her sword and the guns and later hooks up with Vali to go to the bear pit.
  • Caprice stands guard at the van.
  • Quel takes the mage bodies to the wolf den, tosses them in, and encourages the wolves to eat.
  • The wolves are confused so Quel jumps down to show them and starts tearing up the corpses a bit.
  • After some time, Quel becomes aware that these wolves aren't going to learn to eat. (at least not in one night) so he tosses the corpses up and leaves the remains by some-random-trailer(tm).
  • Vali and Maritza head to the bear pit and notice that the strange bear from earlier is crying out in pain and the other bears are no where near it.
  • Maritza and Vali enter the pit and try to coax and calm the bear which appears to be undergoing some were-changes.
  • The lead the bear out of the pit and over the wall heading towards the van.
  • Caprice, at the van, notices a car driving along the outer drive with a spotlight heading in her direction. She gets in the van and starts heading south along the west wall.
  • Driving in the dark in pretty rough terrain, the van gets stuck just a little ways off into the woods.
  • Maritza runs off to get her ear mic as the rest of the pack tears through the fence with the bear and goes towards the van.
  • Quel opens the back doors for the bear to go in and ....
  • The bear shifts into an 18 foot creature howling at the sight of the manacles inside.
  • Quel sees the manacles and starts ripping them off when the bear rips the top off the van with one hand getting Quel caught up in the metal while he tosses it aside.
  • Quel extricates himself from the twisted metal and the giant were-bear shifts to human form and starts to retch.
  • Everyone climbs into the van and they head off towards the car and pick up the jeep before starting a small convoy in the direction of camp.
  • About half way to camp, the split up. Quel and Caprice stay with the bear and the van and take some meager supplies from the jeep as Maritza and Vali drive on.

[Tuesday]
  • Quel and Caprice build a camp site and tend as best they can to the bear.
  • Maritza and Vali arrive at the main camp and head directly to find Dennis.
  • They find Dennis and tell them that they have found a were-bear. *clatter*
  • Dennis takes them to some Uktena that are visiting the camp and Vali and Maritza tell them that they have found a were-bear.
  • Steven Change bursts onto the scene demanding to know who just drove the jeep into camp.
  • Dennis tells Steven that he has more important things to attend to and Steven makes a brief challenge to Dennis and wins. Martiza also challenges Steven so that she could stay but looses.
  • The Uktena are eager to see the bear and ask to be taken to it right away.
  • Vali changes to Lupus form leads the Uktena and Maritza follows Steven.
  • Steven leads Maritza to a small conference room where the sword, that the pack had found at Pierre's apt had been found, is on display.
  • Steven, Andrew Kawalski and Karen DeNegro start grilling Maritza on all the details of the sword. Where did she find it? Does she know what it is?
  • Maritza reluctantly answers some questions and states that the sword belongs to the Black Furies. Maritza also says that there are other big things going on but the group seems unswayed.
  • Andrew growls that if she could read, she'd know that the sword did not belong to the Furies.
  • At this point, Maritza says if they want to dispute who the sword belongs to, to go get a Black Fury.
  • Andrew darts off and grabs Kendra.
  • Kendra arrives, sees the sword, tells Maritza to be quiet and drags Maritza away to talk to Laura Wittstock after winning a brief challenge over Steven.
  • Kendra, Laura and some other Black Furies start grilling a more co-operative Maritza.
  • Maritza tells them about the sword and mentions the werebear. *clatter* and Laura tells Maritza to take some of them to the bear.
  • Maritza changes to Lupus form and leads another small group to the werebear camp site.
  • Vali arrives at the camp with the Uktena in tow and they start tending to the bear. The bear calms down and doesn't seem as pained.
  • The Uktena not with the bear notices that Caprice is badly injured and offers to help heal her.
  • After being healed, Caprice and Vali fall into a very sound sleep.
  • Maritza arrives at the camp with some Black Furies in tow.
  • At this point, the Uktena not immediately with the bear starts asking Quel questions about the bear.
  • Quel mentions that they found the bear at the zoo after battling some mages.
  • The Uktena, somewhat aggitated, asks if all the mages were destroyed.
  • Maritza says that all but two were killed.
  • Upon hearing this the Uktena goes into a rage smashing a tree before being able to calm down.
  • Quel waits a moment and shows the Uktena the pendent he found on the mage along with the papers that Quel and Caprice found.
  • The Uktena starts to inspect them and asks to keep them. She then shifts to the Umbra.
  • After seeing the bear, Kendra heads back towards camp.
  • The growing noise of wolves running en-masse is heard heading in the pack's direction. There is a pause and a lesser noise is heard.
  • The Uktena that shifted to the Umbra shifts back in time to see several important people from the camp arrive.
  • The ShadowLord goes and attends to the bear.
  • The pack falls asleep.
  • Around noon the next day, the pack awakens. The injured members are fully healed and well rested.
  • The pack is instructed to head back to the camp and leave the bear for the time being.
  • The pack lopes back to the camp to find a lot of commotion regarding the were-bear and the sword.
  • The pack winds their way to the cafeteria with Kendra's urging where they find many garou standing around looking towards the center of the building where the sword is on display.
  • Among the attendies are a Star Gazer, whom Maritza talks to, and a stand-offish individual that Vali talks to.
  • The individual identifies himself to Vali as "Silver Paw" and doesn't say much else.
  • Kendra is explaining to several garou in attendence that the sword is a proud artifact of the Black Furies and is has come home.
  • Quel says something about the sword (I already forget what).
  • Kendra says that it's from the "Old Country"
  • Quel says that they are welcome to take the stupid thing back to the "Old Country"
  • Kendra and Quel enter a stare down which Quel wins.
  • Instead of relenting, Kendra shifts to Crinos and pins Quel against the wall and tells her to take back her words.
  • Vali jumps Kendra and misses and lands next to several Garou of which 3 shift to Crinos and tell him to stay put. Vali shifts to Crinos but stands steady.
  • Quel says that he meant no offense and Kendra lets him go.
  • Interspersed throughout the rest of the day and the next are many people asking many questions of the bear and the sword. Caprice absorbs the attention that she usually doesn't get because of her Metis standing.
  • Vali relates his encounter with "Silver Paw" and Quel recalls that name from a sort of mythical pack of Garou. What Quel remembers is that the pack was sort of like the 'alpha pack' amongst all Garou. Almost like an 'Internal Affairs' division.
  • Before nodding off for the night Vali asks Quel about how he was able to keep his clothing after shifting between forms. Quel says that he now knows the right of dedication so he can 'bond' items to people.
  • Quel then dedicates several items for Vali.

  • The pack is told that they are to be with the bear during his transition since they are the ones that first made contact.
  • The pack is also told that they will be a part of the council to decide the fate of the bear.
  • They go to the caern where they shift to the Umbra and are lead to the bear.
  • The pack disovers that the bear has been moved to a large underground cave. They are in a large cavern. The Uktena are there monitoring the bear and the pack arrives to watch and to assist as needed.
  • Quel has brought along the silver whistle and after talking to the bear he realized that Pierre used it in some fashion to calm him.
  • The whistle has two tones and so Quel tries them out. One tone seems to revert people to their 'native' form and the other seems to put people to sleep.
  • An Uktena asks for an opportunity to study the whistle and Quel hands it over.
  • It's hard to keep track of time in the cave. No one thought of bringing a time piece and there is no day/night to use to keep track. The pack sleeps and watches for some time.
  • The bear goes through his change. Shifting, howling in pain, punching holes in the rock wall.
  • At one point, it seemed that the entire cavern might cave in.
  • The pack aides where it can but otherwise lets the bear experience his change.
  • The pack heads back to camp.

  • The camp gets back to camp and plays 20 questions with lots of people.
  • Quel talks to Laura Wittstock about were-bears. and were-sharks and other were-creatures.
  • They talk to all the Star Gazers. Each one says that they are studying something. One says he's dedicated to studying the bear. One the sword. And the last one says he is studying the pack.
  • Quel tells an Uktena that he will want the whistle back.

  • Maritza awakens to find a Child of Gaia standing near her. The Child encourages Maritza to vote for keeping the werebear.
  • Vali awakens to find a Silver Fang standing near him. The Silve Fang encourages Vali to vote for the bear's destruction.
  • Caprice wakes up and notices a Star Gazer just sitting nearby.
  • The council meets and the pack take their respective seats. Tricia presides over the meeting.
  • The council discusses before a large crowd the merits of either keeping the were-bear alive (mostly as a tool to use against the Wyrm) or to have it destroyed.
  • The pack, and Tricia side with keeping the bear and argue in that direction.
  • The Silver Fang, among other things, boasts that he fears nothing and could take on a hundred BSDs without the 'help' of the were-bear which Maritza scoffs at.
  • A main point of the argument for not destroying the bear involved the type of light that might be cast upon the Garou from the were-bears. What if there are more? What if they are waking up? Could the Garou risk destroying the one they had? What if the were-bears turned to the Wyrm?
  • On the other side, the were-bear is a powerful weapon. What if it can't be controlled? What if it's trained and ends up using that training against the Garou?
  • A Silver Fang seems to be the lone voice for destroying the bear and demands that a vote be cast.
  • Everyone except the Fang vote to keep the bear and the Fang challenges the 'pro' side to combat to settle the debate.
  • Vali accepts the challenge and enters the pit with the Silver Fang.
  • With the confines of the pit, the battle is short and vicious. Unable to do much dodging both sides go for all out attacks.
  • A few serious, but non-aggrevated, blows later and Vali emerges the winner of the combat.
  • The crowd gathered around now start calling for an immediate council session to discuss the sword.
  • Tricia tries to settle the crowd and says that councils are meant for one matter at a time, the sword would have to wait.
  • The crowd starts to disperse when Vali asks Tricia about "Silver Paw"
  • Tricia says that "Silver Paw" has no jurisdiction here.
  • Dennis strongly disagrees with Tricia and says that "Silver Paw" must be obeyed fully.
  • Tricia and Dennis continue to argue until they enter the pit for combat.
  • Unlike the battle between the Silver Fang and Vali, this battle is far more deadly and Dennis emerges from the pit, the 'victor' and Tricia is badly damaged.
  • Violence and fighting spread throughout the camp.
  • Quel and Maritza jump down into the pit to help Tricia.
  • A loud explosion is heard near the ammunitions building.
  • Vali takes off to the caffeteria fearing that the sword might be stolen in the chaos.
  • Caprice assists Quel and Maritza in getting Tricia through the fray and to the caern.
  • When Vali arrives at the caff, everyone is fighting, but no one is approaching the sword.
  • Vali rejoins his pack at the caern and Maritza goes into camp to see if she can salvage some of the armory.
  • Maritza goes into camp as things are starting to die down but notices that buildings are being disassembled.
  • Maritza salvages several small arms and rifles from the armory that appears to have exploded.
  • Dennis comes and checks on Tricia at the caern. Caprice asks him what's going on with the camp to which Dennis replies that it's being taken down. The camp's days are over. It no longer serves its function.
  • Quel questions the Star Gazer about things. Including Silver Paw and the sword.
  • The pack sleeps and watches over Tricia.

MOOT MOOT

  • The pack tours the camp and salvages a few items as it continues to get torn down and dissassembled.
  • Most of the day is spent in healing and preperation for the Moot.
  • The sun starts to set and Tricia makes an announcement at the caern that the camp will no longer be.
  • She then starts the moot festivities.
  • Various creatures from the Umbra are pulled through the caern and hunted.
  • Moonbridges open and the Glass Walkers arrive.
  • More Moon bridges and the Bone Gnawers arrive.
  • The moot is in high celebration when a strange silver coloured moon bridge glimmers in the caern.

MOOT MOOT Continues

  • A Garou steps out in Crinos form with what appears to be blue paint all over his body and fur.
  • He stands a good foot, foot and a half, taller than the other Garou.
  • He quickly surveys what is going on and starts to chant but even his Garou language seems antiquated.
  • Some Uktena and a Star Gazer start chanting a spell and the words from the visitor become clearer.
  • Dennis approaches the visitor and welcomes him "I am Dennis of the Get of Fenris!"
  • The Visitor responds with "I am Kataa! White Howler!"

  • The crowd around Kataa gets quiet and somewhat subdued. And most all of them remain behind when Kataa walks away from the Caern towards the buildings in the camp.
  • The pack is divided. Caprice and Martiza remain behind enjoying the moot and Quel and Vali follow Kataa towards the camp.
  • Kataa enters the building that houses the sword and after a small exchange with the Garou on watch, picks up the sword and walks out.
  • Caprice looks down and finds a small strip of paper in her hand. It's in a language she doesn't know. She's pretty certain it's in an asian language.
  • Quel and Vali follow Kataa who is starting to look up at the sky. Kataa appears to be getting a little confused when suddenly he takes off running.
  • Kataa calls out to Maritza "Ja-Naa, hold this for me." and he runs off into the woods going towards the north.
  • Maritza picks up the sword and takes off running with Vali, after Kataa.
  • When people see the sword and see Maritza pick it up they start to follow her.
  • Quel searches for answers to some questions. Quel figures the best starting point will be to find Alpay Ozalan.
  • Vali has the biggest 'lead' on Kataa, but Kataa seems to be a bit faster.
  • To pick up some speed, Martiza changes to Lupus form and attempts to put the sword in her mouth to carry it. However, as she changes, the sword vanishes and bonds itself to her.
  • When the crowd sees the sword bond to Martiza, they stop pursuit. Quelatikan is able to catch up with Alpay Ozalan.
    • Alpay appears to be making some notes on the recent events.
    • Quel says that Kataa appears confused.
    • Alpay says that he doesn't believe that Kataa is White Howler.
    • Alpay says that the sword is unique, but that it isn't Kataa's sword.
    • When asked what 'Ja-Naa' means, Alpay says that it's a name, like Alpay or Quelatikan.
    • Quel presents the theory that for an item to be unique but be different, it could be from a different time.
  • Kataa appears to be running due north.
  • After chasing and tracking Kataa and realizing that they aren't going to catch him and Vali attempts to track him
  • Even though Kataa was running North, Vali is pretty certain that he must have turned West, so Vali and Maritza head west.
  • They stop and attempt to track again, but Kataa's scent is gone. Vali, however, picks up on a different smell. A man-made smell.
  • Vali pinpoints the smell in a tree and climbs up to find a small black camera box.
  • He rips it down and hands it to Maritza to examine.
  • The box is very high-tech, made out of some metal alloy that makes it very difficult to see. It has 3 camera lenses protruding from it.
  • After she opens it up, she sees another couple of camera lenses in it that appear point into the wall.
  • Maritza uses her military and electronics knowledge to determine how to turn off the transmitter and is very confident that she disabled it. She's also pretty certain that it has infra-red and night-vision, but she's not too sure about some of the other lenses and what their functions might be.
  • Martiza and Vali head back to camp with their findings.
  • Quelatikan sees Alpay writing some things down and asks some questions about it.
  • Alpay says that perhaps Kataa called Maritza Ja-Naa because Maritza is Ja-Naa.
  • Caprice shows Quelatikan the slip of paper and Quel identifies it as Chinese. Quel suggest finding Kim Sun and asking him to translate it. They find Kim Sun and the other Star Gazers and Kim tells them that Ja-Naa can read it because he wrote it for her.
  • Quelatikan has another short talk with Alpay. Quel tells Alpay that perhaps it's the "wrong time." Alpay completely dismisses this possibility and says that he knows that it is the "right time".
  • Maritza and Vali arrive back at the moot.
  • Maritza, Vali, Quel and Caprice are rejoined and start comparing notes.
  • Tricia Cooke comes over, sees the camera and asks where it came from. Vali and Maritza say that it was about 3 miles north-north west of the camp. Tricia walks away muttering something about the 'silver paw' being right.
  • Vali decides to head off and join the Moot for a while.
  • The pack, less Vali, decides to show the camera to April Hardcastle to see what she can tell them about it.
  • April puts her hands on the box and starts to communicate with it. She says that it was communicating with something about 60 km north-north west of where it was.
  • She recommends that the box be destroyed. The pack obliges by smashing it to bits.
  • Maritza reads the note from Kim Sun. He says that Charles Deveroix might be in trouble and it's regarding the bear.
  • The pack asks around and hooks up with Children of Gaia for a moon-gate back to Vancover to investigate.
  • The Children ask Quel to go through first, and make a comment that the moon-gate shimmers oddly when Quel uses it.
  • They arrive in a park in central Vancover and take a bus towards the aparment building where Charles Deveroix is.
  • They hear some strange singing/chanting coming from the aparment building and suspect that it's from what was Pierre Gustof's apartment.
  • Vali decides to climb the outside of the building and hover near to outside the window of the apartment.
  • Caprice, Maritza and Quelatikan go up the fire-escape with Quel already in Crinos form.
  • Caprice and Maritza open the window at the end of the hallway and head in. The chanting stops and suddenly a figure dressed in dark clothes busts through the glass window beneath Vali.
  • Vali attempts to grab at the figure as he jumps out but looses his balance and falls head first two stories down.
  • Fight Fight: and some of the high points
    • Quelatikan decides to forget about the hallway and run around to the front side of the building.
    • Vali hits the ground when another figure ends up busting through the glass
    • Only one problem: The figures aren't falling to the ground, they appear to be floating across the street and even gaining some altitude.
    • Vali jumps up and volley ball spikes one into the pavement.
    • Quel picks up a trash dumpster and hurls it at the mages and not only hits one, but manages to trap it in the container as it bounces down the street.
    • Martiza and Caprice bust into apartment as the last of the figures jumps through the window. Martiza jumps out the window to join the fun in the street.
    • A mage pleads for his life from within the container and Quel slashes through the dumpster. The mage conjurs up three stones and hurls them at Quel. Rage time.
    • Quel shreds the mage. Martiza shreds a mage. Vali shreads a mage. One mage escapes and takes off over the rooftops.
    • Quel lifts an amulet off of the mage she shredded.
    • Vali, in an attempt to dress himself, takes some of the clothing off of one of the shredded mages and finds a slip of paper. A receipt from MacNally's Department store.
  • Caprice, in the apartment, finds a piece of parchment with strange writing on it.
  • After the battle, a quick examination of the apartment shows candles, a circle drawn on the floor (and it's scuffed up both from the running mages and the pack), and other paraphenalia.
  • Quelatikan examines the parchment and figures it's some type of locator spell. Probably for the bear.
  • The pack decides that they should notify the Uktena that mages are out, about, and looking for the bear.
  • Not knowing how to go about getting in touch with the Uktena, the pack decides to get in touch with Andrew Kowalski, and see if he can give them the information they need.
  • A van picks the pack up and takes them to a chop-shop and they have a meeting with Andrew.
    • In exchange for a means of getting in touch with the Uktena, the pack gives Andrew the amulet that they found and how they came about it.
    • Andrew gives them an address in Vancover and says that they can get in touch with the Uktena at that address.
    • Andrew further 'volunteers' that pack made a horrible decision in letting the bear live, and that if they knew what the Uktena were doing, that they wouldn't like it.
  • The pack decides to head straight to the address.
  • It's a comic book shop. A slightly over-weight guy behind the counter is painting minis when Vali(?) says "We're here to see the Uktena."
  • The comic guy locks the place up real quickly.
  • Comic guy asks who they are and introduces himself as Christopher Milbrett.
  • After some dialogue, Christopher agrees to arrange for a phone call later in the day near closing time.
  • The pack leaves, and goes to the park to eat, sleep and generally rest up until the evening.

  • The pack arrives at the comic store and Christopher shoos out the last few straglers telling them that they have to leave because he's beta testing a new rpg and he signed a non-disclosure agreement.
  • The phone rings and Christopher doesn't answer it and tells them not to also. It rings twice, stops, then rings again, at which point he hands the phone over.
    • Tiffeny Milbrett was on the phone.
    • When asked about the bear, Tiffeny says he's progressing nicely.
    • Tiffeny expressed some concern about the mages and asked the pack to see if they can't stop the mages from interferring.
  • Time to head to MacNally's Department store.
  • The first thing they noticed is the increased level of security around the building.
  • The pack enters and heads towards the area where that same type of jacket is sold. It's adjacent to the 'sporting goods' section that's filled with way over-priced sporting goods.
  • Caprice and Quel examine a mirror and Caprice uses her talents and pops the lock on it to reveal a narrow passage down with a ladder. In goes the pack in spite of pleas from some of the store employees.
  • They are on the ladder when the passage is lit up, and a voice says "Leave now, are you all will be destroyed."
  • The pack decides that the best course of action is to speed up decent, so one-by-one they let go of the ladder and drop to the bottem which is a smalle 10' x 10' square of a room with a large metal door and a low ceiling (about 7').
  • Gas starts to come out of some small vents near their feet, and they move to force open the large metal door.
  • Quelatikan calls forth for the wind spirits to funnel the gas up the ladder just before the gas ignites.
  • Fire swirls around their feet and then up the ladder
  • They jack open the door and hear lots of running around, a klaxon and at least someone shouting "I told you, WEREWOLVES WEREWOLVES, NOT VAMPIRES!"
    • The pack splits up a bit and checks things out.
    • They find people running and diving into a hole into the ground.
    • They find a control room with two very nervous individuals.
    • Turning down one of the hallways Vali sees some armored individuals firing at something down another hallway with someone shouting "VAMPIRES, I told you they aren't WEREWOLVES!"
    • Vali runs up and one of the retreating guards sees him and turns and shoots Vali while continuing the retreat.
    • Vali and Maritza bum rush into the fray tearing the guards to ribbons when they notice that the end of the hall that they were firing upon is pitch black (and not in a good natural way).
    • Caprice throws some fire into the black area, but the fire and the light from the fire are consumed by the blackness. Vali rushes in.
    • Quel, catches a mage jumping down another hole in the ground so Quel jumps in after him. It's a slide and Quel finds himself sliding down.
    • It isn't long before Vali and Martiza are both in the darkness fighting some vampires. They took some serious damage, but also shredded a couple of vampires before the vampires ended up becoming vapor and fleeing.
    • Caprice heads down the chute after Quel.
    • Quel finds himself in a subway, in lupus form, hot on the heels of a fleeing mage who is losing ground.
    • Quel catches up to the mage he was chasing. The mage pleads for his life as people are running around the subway system screaming and pointing fingers.
    • The mage says that he has information and will gladly trade it for his own life.
    • Caprice enters the subway in human form wearing just underwear and heading in the direction that people are fleeing from, presumably in the direction Quel went.
    • Caprice arrives and puts on a show thanking the mage for finding her 'dog' and asking him to accompany her for a 'reward'.
    • Caprice, Quelatikan and the darkly clad mage exit street level and find a small alley way to continue their discussion.
    • The mage, calling himself Dark Sphere (?), ends up providing the pack with a list of alaii of other mages. He further states that with the amulet you can identify others in their sect.
    • Feeling that they got all the info that they are going to get, (and as he denied working on any projects involving 'bears') they allow him to leave, which he does, in great haste.
    • Meanwhile, Vali and Maritza are examining the head-quarters. The two guards in the control room are still there and quite nervous. Martiza finds a lot of armor and weapons.
    • They find out that the name of the leader mage was Francesca McGee. She is confirmed dead when the pack takes one of the guards around to examine some of the bodies. The rooms at the end of the hallway where the darkness was, were offices no filled with people killed right where they sat.
    • Also from the guards, they get a print-out with photographs and some aliai. They also learned that the department store above is one fire.
    • Vali destroyed a seal on the floor of a large room. Martiza gathers a bunch of the armor and weapons and makes a makeshift bomb in the library.
    • Caprice and Vali rejoin their packmates in the HQ as they also do a quick examination.
    • After allowing the two guards to leave, they jump down one of the holes and ignite the bomb in the library.

  • With the lists in hand, the pack decides to check out the Zoo to see if they can spot anything.
  • When there, they notice one of the zoo cleaners and he matches a picture off of the sheet that they got from the mage hq. His 'alias' appears to be Saint Ool.
  • The pack waits outside the zoo until closing and follows Saint Ool. He gets picked up in a Dodge Neon, so they make a mental note of the license plate and Maritza hot-wires a car and they follow until the car enters a low-rent housing area.
  • The pack re-joins and goes into the neighborhood looking for the car and they find it.
  • Caprice talks it up with some of the local kids and finds out that the vehicle is owned by Mr and Mrs LOST_THE_NAME, and they live in either apartment J or K.
